Gulangyu Island in Xiamen is a national 5A-level scenic area featuring a blend of global architecture, music culture, and mountain-sea scenery. To address the soft soil foundation and waterlogging risks on Gulangyu Island, this project adopts DN800 HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes. By adopting transportation via ferry plus small-sized equipment and micro-invasive construction laying, it realizes rainwater and sewage separation as well as full sewage collection. The solution meets the island's requirements for corrosion resistance and settlement resistance while preserving the style and features of the historic district.
